Terms of Service

Last updated: July 28, 2026

These terms cover your use of Reclaim, a macOS storage-cleanup application ("Reclaim", "the app"), distributed at reclaimac.com.

Price

Reclaim is currently free — download it and use every feature at no cost. A paid plan may be introduced later; if so, its pricing will be shown clearly before you buy anything, and these terms will be updated.

Source code and license

Reclaim's source code is published on GitHub for transparency, under a source-available license (© 2026 Clayton Wendel, all rights reserved — see the LICENSE). You may read it, build it, and use it for yourself or internally within your organization. You may not sell it, redistribute it, or offer it (or a work based on it) as a commercial product or service.

How Reclaim works, and your responsibility

Reclaim helps you find and remove storage you no longer need. It scans read-only, sorts every finding into a clearly labeled safety tier, never touches system-protected data, and — when you choose to clean something — moves it to a reversible quarantine rather than deleting it, so you can restore it until you purge.

Even so, you decide what to remove, and you are responsible for those choices. Review what Reclaim proposes before cleaning it, and keep your own backups (for example, Time Machine). Once you purge a quarantine, that data is permanently gone.

Warranty and liability

Reclaim is provided "as is," without warranty of any kind, express or implied. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any data loss or for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the app.

Acceptable use

Don't remove or alter copyright and license notices, don't misrepresent the app as your own, and don't use Reclaim to violate anyone's rights or applicable law.

Changes

We may update these terms; material changes will be noted on this page. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated terms.
